Preston firm steps up recruitment after 60 per cent growth

The company provides personal assistants, advice and financial management services for people with a wide range of disabilities and conditions, including both adults and children, and is increasingly recognised for its expertise in dementia, end of life care and ADHD (attention deficit hyper-activity disorder).

Explains Alan: “The people we help are often vulnerable and unsure how to access social care services, confused about their choices or concerned about how to manage their personal care budget.

“Our approach is to tailor our services to suit the needs of the individual and to work closely with local authorities as outsource partners to ensure that those entitled to social care assistance access the right type and level of care in their local area.

“Demand for our services has been so high that we are constantly recruiting personal assistants, who may either be employed by us or direct by the individual. What’s more, much of our growth is thanks to word of mouth recommendations and our reputation is already so well-established in the sector that we are also rapidly expanding our network of local authority partnerships, with agreements now in place as far afield as Aberdeen and Norfolk.”

To help the company manage its impressive growth, Community Life Choices has recently recruited Chantelle O’Reily to the team to ensure that the vital task of matching each personal assistant to the individual is as personalised as the care they require.

Chantelle adds: “I am delighted to be joining a social care specialist with such a personalised approach to helping people access the care and support they need.

“The company has just completed a routine inspection by the Care Quality Commission a second time and passed with flying colours once again, demonstrating that we are not only growing but also providing a reliable and trustworthy service to both individuals and our local authority partners.”
