October 9, 2015

Founder and managing director of home care specialist, Community Life Choices, has been recognised as one of the region’s rising stars after securing a place in North West Business Insider’s 42 Under 42.

Alan Frew, 37, from Longton, Preston, facilitated the creation of more than 50 new jobs across the UK in the last 12 months and recorded a 150 per cent increase in turnover. The company, which specialises in the provision of five-star home care to adults and children in need of personalised health and social care services, is on target to surpass £1.5m in 2015 – its fourth year of training.

The 42 Under 42 list recognises the North West’s most dynamic and inspirational young entrepreneurs, celebrating the strength of these individuals and their contribution to the regional economy.

The first list was published in 1992 and it has grown into a sought-after achievement for the leaders of tomorrow under the age of 42 who are setting the pace in business.

This year’s 42 will join past alumni at an annual dinner at the Lowry Hotel, Manchester on Monday 12 October 2015.

“It is fantastic to be recognised alongside an illustrious list of North West talent,” said Alan.

“It was only a few months ago that I was named Lancashire’s Entrepreneurial Young ‘Un of the Year and I once again want to dedicate this achievement to the hard work and commitment of all our staff.

“I’ve built a business that offers people with complex care needs greater control and choice in the care they receive and how it’s delivered and in four years we’ve already transformed the lives of so many individuals and their families in the North West and across the UK.”
