Care assistants play an important role in supporting the personal care needs of our clients and these posts often involve working with the elderly or those with disabilities.
Day-to-day responsibilities will usually involve help with bathing and using toilet facilities and may also include helping the client to eat and assistance with mobility.
Support workers help to look after clients’ physical and mental wellbeing and will usually work with people with mental health issues or learning disabilities.
This is a varied role which requires patience and pragmatism. It is also a very rewarding job in an environment where no two days are ever the same and you will form a personal bond with the client.
